Celebrated annually on Februaqry 14, the Feast of St. Valentine, or St. Valentine's Day, was established in honour of a saint of the Roman Catholic Church named Valentius. The history tells that Valentius, a 3rd-Century Roman, used to marry soldiers, who were in those days forbidden to marry.

Sir William Dillon otter was the first Canadian born Chief of General Staff. He laid the foundation of what Canada is today by leading the Canadian military in some of its earliest days. Without his leadership, Canada wouldn’t be what it is today.
