         Among the haudenosunee are groups of people who came together as families called clan. As a matrilinel society, each clan is linked by a common female ancetor with women possessing a leadership role within in the clan. The oldest woman of the clan is called the Clan Mother.

Christmas in 1867

Christmas trees- i think that chrsitmas trees in 1867 were real trees (not artificial) and used candles as lights instead of christmas lights.

Christmas Dinner- I think people in 1867 ate the same thing as people currently would.

Aboriginal Technologies

The technologies common to each Aborginal group were common because they all needed them to a degree (spears, arrows, etc), whereas things like snow shoes and dog sleds would be specific to just one group far north because they needed to adjust to their environment.

      Baron Manfred Von Richthofen. (1892-1918) The ‘Red Baron’ who was the top flying ace of the war. He is credited with 80 air combat victories, despite flying in a highly visible red aircraft. He was killed in April 1918.
