A family enjoying Christmas

Long before Christianity , plants and trees that remaind green all year had a special meaning for people in the winter.  Just as people today decorate their homes during the festive season with pine, spruce, and fir trees, ancient peoples hung evergreen boughs over their doors and windows.

There is an anti-Santa Claus who accompanies this "real" during Christmas travels. His name is Krampus, and judging from his pictures, he is a bad goblin that no child would like to meet.

1867 was very similar to today, as the practiced a lot of the same traditions. The children didn't believe in Santa, and instead had Saint Nicholas day. Saint Nicholas dates way back until about 345AD in somewhere in southern turkey, and he was quite generous.

Find as many references to today's observances of the 100th anniversary of the Halifax Explosion. Make some general notes in your blogs about the observances: who attended, where did it take place, what was the focus.

See if you can find a correlation between the Halifax Explosion and the City of Boston, USA. Note what you find in your blog.

Web Design: The good, the bad and the ugly

Review information on Web design practices, and new page designs. Set some criteria for what you think web pages should look like and how they should work in general. Avoid design considerations for specific products or services.

Come up with screen shot or other examples of web page: good, bad and ugly. List at least three reasons for each of your choices.
